No 279       December 21

They say women change their minds,

Well that is just our treat,

Well Boris changed to Doris,

Is he trying to compete.

Right at the last minute,

We’ve got to change our plans,

We’re back down in lockdown

How long will this thing span.

Boris takes advice from experts,

It isn’t his decision,

He just has to give the news.

That there is no remission.

5 days of freedom was all wrong,

It never should have been,

We’d been locked up for many weeks,

This decision seemed obscene.

So now we’re back to square one,

Another wave of desperation ahead,

I wish I was able to sleep,

Then I’d just stay in bed
