Another good night at class this week. Decided to teach Scott Blevin's “CAKE BY THE OCEAN” after reading and hearing so many good reports about it. It’s a Phrased High Intermediate, 96 count 4 wall dance choreographed to “Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE. There’s 64 counts in Part A, 32 in Part B and 2 easy tags. Don’t usually take phrased dances to our class as they don’t always go down that well but could not resist this one to a great track and a dance that fits the music so p...erfectly. We did lose a few along the way but got a very good response from the ones who kept going. Re-capped last week’s 2 dances “TOP GEAR” (Claire Bell) & “SEIZE THE MOMENT” (Joyce Plaskett & “Diddy” Dave Morgan) both going down very well with the class. Also recapped “DIRTY MIND” (Daniel Whittaker) another big hit with our dancers and quick walls of a few others where needed.
