REPORTS & PLAYLISTS
Week Commencing April 18th
Nothing new on Monday night at our Shipley class in the first part of the evening, just recaps as and when needed. Then in the second half taught 2, first was Daniel Whittaker’s “SUNSET MAMBO” choreographed to “Price Tag” (Jessie J). A nice easy fun dance 32 counts with a 16 count tag (danced twice) which was enjoyed by all the class. Second one to be taught was “ONLY GIRL” choreographed by Niels Poulson & Simon Ward to “Only Girl (In the World) by Rihanna, again an excellent response from the dancers.
Playlist ;- Little Red Book, Smokey Places, Tennessee Waltz Surprise, Bosa Nova, Hello Dolly, Fly Like A Bird, My New Life, Drip Dropping, Pot of Gold / Country Walking (split floor), Burlesque, Playing With Fire, Amame / County Line (split floor), Sunset Mambo (twice), Come Dance With Me, Upside Down / Easy Come Easy Go (split floor), Quarter After One, Fragile Not Broken, Only Girl (twice), Don’t Be A Drag, Perfect, Party Freak, Dirty Bit & Raise Your Glass.
On Wednesday at Saltaire we taught the new one from Alan Birchall “TELLING THE WORLD” choreographed to a fabulous track of the same name by Taio Cruz. A 64 count, 2 wall dance with no tags or restarts that was quite an easy teach and received an excellent response from the class. Recapped both last week’s dances “SUNSET MAMBO” (Daniel Whittaker) & “ONLY GIRL” (Simon Ward & Niels Poulson) both going down well with the class. Also recaps of “PARTY FREAK” (Kate Sala) & “PERFECT” (Guyton Mundy). We seem to be on a roll at the moment with choice of dances as the majority of the class seem to like them all.
