Week Comm. August 1st 

Good turn out again on Monday night at our Shipley class,  just did recaps in the early session and in the second half taught “DR FLAME” (Kate Sala, Vivienne Scott, Robbie McGowan Hickie & Fred Buckley), went down very well with our class. Recapped  “DEVOTION” (Maggie G), CLOSE TO PARADISE (Hazel Pace) & “NO SCANDAL” (Robbie McGowan Hickie) all popular  with our dancers. 

Playlist was :- Stroll Along Cha, Rio, Wishful Thinking, Tennessee Waltz Surprise, Something In The Water, Burlesque, I Am A Good Girl, Swamp Thing, Drip Dropping, 1-2-3-4, Pot Of Gold / Country Walking (split floor), Upside Down / Easy Come Easy Go (split floor), Soul Food, I’m No Good, Come Dance With Me, Commitment, People Are Crazy, The Flute, Playing With Fire, Beyond Your Eyes, Dr Flame, Fragile Not Broken, Devotion, (twice), On The Edge, No Scandal & Close To Paradise. 

At Saltaire on Wednesday the new dance this week was Shaz’s  “NOT DRUNK ENOUGH” choreographed to track of the same name by Adele Erichsen from Norway, love the music for this one and wanted to do the dance as soon as I heard it. A 32 count, 4 wall dance classed as High Intermediate with 2 restarts. Wasn’t the easiest of teaches but certainly worth the effort, slowed the track down slightly and found that I liked the dance even better, it seemed to flow better, particularly the second section of 8 which is a bit of a rush at normal speed. Got the thumbs up from the majority of the class.  Recapped last week’s dance “DR FLAME” another that has received a good response from our class. Other dances recapped were “DEVOTION” & “CLOSE TO PARADISE” both big hits at both our classes.
