Great turnout at class this week but unfortunately although the floor looked great it was very sticky and we had to get permission to use talcum powder which helped a little. Very unusual this as the floor is usually in tip top condition for dancing. New dance for this week was another big hit from Eurodance “MAYBE TOMORROW” choreographed by Niels Poulsen & Malene Jakobsen to a track of the same name by Westlife, it’s a 48 count 2 wall Intermediate waltz with a 24 count tag after walls 1 & 3 and a 12 count tag after walls 2 & 4. Not half as complicated as it sounds, fabulous dance that hits the music perfectly. Don’t usually teach 2 in a night but saw a post on facebook about a half hour before we left for class with a video of an Improver dance by Niels Poulsen that everybody looked to be enjoying so much so decided to do that as well. “YOUR HEAVEN” is a 4 wall dance with 2 restarts and 1 easy tag choreographed to “Take Me To Your Heaven” by Charlotte Nilsson, a great fun dance that I think everyone enjoyed. Recapped “ANGELS ON MY SIDE” (Alan Birchall & Jacqui Jax) & “WOMAN UP” (Rachael McEnaney-White & Amy Christian) both going well plus quick walls of a few others.

Our next Social at Shelf Village Hall will be on Saturday August 20th, non stop dancing to your requests from 8.00 pm – 11.00 pm, admission includes home made buffet supper, licensed bar, everybody welcome. Also tickets are on sale for “Celia’s 80th” with the amazing Natalie Thurlow which is on Wednesday 14th December at Victoria Hall, Saltaire, everybody welcome.
