Slight improvement on floor this week but still far from it’s best. The previous week we had said if the floor was like this on a regular basis we would have no alternative but to finish. This week we were very touched by the number of people who came to us and said “Please we don’t want you to finish”, so hopefully they’ll get the floor back to what we’ve been used to since we moved there 17 years ago.

Took my life in my hands and taught 2 new dances this week, first was Gary O’Reiily’s “A Double Whiskey”, a 4 wall, 64 count Improver with one restart and a tag, a few didn’t get up the second time we danced it which I certainly didn’t expect (perhaps it was the floor). The other new one was “GROOVY LOVE” choreographed by Fred Whitehouse, Daniel Trepat & Jonas Dahlgren, a 4 wall, 32count Improver, with no tags or restarts that got a good response from the class. Re-capped last week’s dance Maggie G’s “THE THING ABOUT YOU” which is going down well plus quick walls of quite a few others.

We have our monthly Social at Shelf Village Hall this Saturday (Sat August 18th). Dancing to your requests from 8.00 pm – 11.00 pm, admission includes home made buffet supper, everybody welcome.
