REPORTS & PLAYLISTS
FEBRUARY 2016
February 3rd
A quiet week this week at class, to be honest I could
easily have stayed at home myself, full of cold, sore throat and losing my
voice, but the show must go on. Had hoped to get some inspiration from the CBA’s
for this week’s teach but nearly all the workshops this year were old classics
(hope this was a one off just for the 20th anniversary). Decided to
go for Maggie G’s “SAX”, a 64 count, 2 wall intermediate
dance to a track of the same name by Fleur
East. It was one that I already knew as did a few of the class but wasn’t in the
right frame of mind to start to learn something new. The majority of the class
seemed happy with it. Also for a bit of fun decided to teach the new LDF dance
“BLACKPOOL BY THE SEA” choreographed by Gaye Teather and sung by Dave Sherrif ,
the majority again seemed happy with this. Re-capped last week’s dance “TEMPTED”
(Fred Whitehouse), not doing as well as I had hoped, also re-caps of “AIN’T
MISBEHAVIN’” (Guyton, Jo & Amy) and “SAVE THE DAY” (Karl-Harry Winson), both
going down very well with the class and a few quick walls of others when
requested.
