Great to be back dancing after being closed for 2 weeks due to the snow. New dance this week was the one that seemed to be the dance of the weekend at the CBA’s, Rob Fowler’s “SHADES OF PASSION”, a 72 count, 4 wall waltz choreographed to “Earned It” by The Weekend from the 50 Shades Of Grey soundtrack. Unfortunately did not get the same response at our class with at least half the class sitting down after the first go. First time round played it to the slow version and then second time round for the ones that were sticking with it to the faster one, the majority liked the slow version. Recapped “UP” (Peter & Alison) & UPTOWN FUNK (Rob Fowler) both big hits with the class. We also recapped “YES” (Simon Ward & Jo Thompson Szymanski), another that’s very popular with the majority of our dancers.
