REPORTS  &  PLAYLISTS

FLORIDA   FEBRUARY/MARCH  2011

Been back home almost a week now after a wonderful 17 days on Marco Island, Florida, managed to get a little line dancing in while we were there. As usual we went to The Vineyards, Naples where Nancy Delaney runs a class on Monday & Friday mornings.  Just 3 visits to this class as it was closed the first Monday for Presidents Day and the last Friday as Nancy had gone to the Maggie G Experience in Orlando for the weekend. Over the years we have made lots of friends and it’s always a pleasure to see Nancy and all her dancers who always make us so welcome.

We usually teach a couple of dances while we are there and this time we taught “FRAGILE NOT BROKEN” (Dee Musk), this was an instant hit with the class as it has been at both our classes in the UK. Had originally intended only to teach one but Nancy asked if we would teach “NIGHTSHIFT” (Kath Dickens) and this also received an excellent response. Knew most of the dances they were doing there, cant remember all we did but here’s a few of them :-  Upside Down, Quarter After One, Hello Dolly, Burlesque, Knee Deep, Hollywood, Shanghai Surprise, Everything I Do, Box it Up, I Run To You, Hallelujah, Bobbi With An I, Wonderland Waltz & Know Me By Now.

Also paid a visit one morning to Iris Mooney’s beginners class on Marco Island and as usual were made very welcome by this lively 85 year old instructor who seems to have the energy of a teenager.

Looking forward to visiting again at the end of April, we love the place !!
