January 14^th

Due to weather and illness it was very quiet at class last night but nevertheless had a good night. Not often done at our class taught 2 new dances and managed to escape in one piece thanks to my PR/bodyguard Celia diplomatically handing out the stepsheets. First was “UP” choreographed by Peter & Alison to a track of the same name by Olly Murs (ft Demi Lovato), a 64 count, 2 wall dance with a couple of easy tags. A reasonably quick teach, picked up very well by our dancers who gave it the thumbs up. Second new one was one we had to do or we’d be the only class in the country not doing it “UPTOWN FUNK”. A great dance choreographed by Rob Fowler to the chart topping hit of the same name by Mark Ronson (ft Bruno Mars). Another easy teach which also got an excellent response from our class. Recapped last weeks dance “YES” (Simon Ward & Jo Thompson Szymanski) and “BADDA BADDA SWING” (Daniel Whittaker & Simon Ward) both going down well and filling the floor.

This weekend we are hoping the weather is kind to us for our Social at Shelf Village Hall on Saturday, non stop dancing to requests from 8.00 pm – 11.00 pm, home made buffet supper, licensed bar, everybody welcome, for further details see our website.
