JANUARY  2016

January 20th

Good turn out again at last night’s class, helped to make up for our disappointment at having to cancel Saturday nights Social. Took my life in my hands and decided to teach 2 dances this week. First one was one that’s been on my to do list for a while, Karl-Harry Winson’s “SAVE THE DAY” choreographed to “One Call Away” by Charlie Puth. It’s a 32 count, 4 wall Intermediate level dance with a tag and restart on wall 4 and got an excellent response from the class with everyone on the floor each time we danced it. Second teach was one I had been requested to do and one that’s currently No 1 in the Linedancer charts, “BETTER WHEN I’M DANCING”. Choreographed by Julia Wetzel it’s a 64 count 2 wall Intermediate dance with a restart on wall 2 choreographed to “Better When I’m Dancing by Meghan Trainor, another great response from the class with everyone up each time we danced it. Re-capped last week’s dance “AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’” (Guyton Mundy, Jo Thompson Szymanski & Amy Glass), class loving this as well and a thorough recap by request of Simon Ward’s “TUESDAY BLUES” (love it) plus quick walls of a few others where needed.

Playlist was :-  Fly High, Uptown Funk, My First Love, Fireball, Your Loving Arms, Wow Tokyo, Alcazar, One Track Mind, Alvaro, Pop ‘n Drop, Slam Goes The Door, Up, Your Place Or Mine, The Bomp, Save The Day (twice), Black Magic, Better When I’m Dancing (twice), Tuesday Blues, Second Hand Heart, Ain’t Misbehavin’ (twice), Darling Hold My Hand, Love Me Like You, Head In The Sky, Adrenaline Rush, Rock This Factor & Flashlight.

Just to remind everybody our next Social at Shelf will be a week earlier than usual due to our holidays. It’s on the second Saturday of the month, that’s Saturday February 13th.
