REPORTS  &  PLAYLISTS

JUNE  2011

June 1st

No class Bank Holiday Monday at Shipley but back in action on Wednesday at Saltaire on newly polished floor. As we had been closed last week decided to teach 2 this week, went with 2 of Maggie’s, first up was “ALL OF ME” choreographed to the track of the same name by Blake, fabulous dance to a fabulous track,  a 32 count 4 wall night club with one easily recognised restart and was a big hit with our class. When I announced that we were going to teach a second dance got quite a few groans from the class, the one we had chosen was “THE FLUTE” choreographed to Flute by The Barcode Brothers, an easy 64 count intermediate dance with 2 restarts. When we had finished got a round of applause so everybody was happy that we had taught 2 dances and the floor was full all three times we did each of the dances.

Re-capped “I’M NO GOOD” (Rachael McEnaney), “TELLING THE WORLD” (Alan Birchall) both going down well with our dancers. Also quick reminders of “SUNSET MAMBO” (Daniel Whittaker), “ONLY GIRL” (Simon Ward & Niels Poulson) & “PARTY FREAK” (Kate Sala) all big hits with the class.

Playlist for the night was :- Quarter After One, We Believe, Pack Up, Upside Down, Amame, Fire With Fire, Drip Droppin, Playing With Fire, Another Heartbreak, Night Work, Burlesque, Unpredictable, Party Freak, Broken Heels, All Of Me (twice), Fragile Not Broken, The Flute (twice), Everything I Do, I’m No Good, Don’t Be A Drag, Sunset Mambo, Nightshift, All of Me (again), The Flute (again), Only Girl, Telling The World & Perfect.
