REPORTS & PLAYLISTS
JUNE 2012
June 6th
Taught 2 new dances this week, both relatively easy, thought we needed something easy after the 112 count dance last week. First was “JAMAICAN LOVE” choreographed by Ria Vos to Jamaican Love (Flamenco Radio Edit) by Whitesand feat. AMB. A 32 count, 4 wall dance described on the stepsheet that I got as Beginner/Intermediate, although it is reasonably easy there’s no way I’d describe it as a dance for Beginners. Danced it 3 times during the night with everyone on the floor so looks like being a success at our class. The other new one for this week was Neville & Julies “HALF PAST NOTHIN’”, choreographed to “Knock Knock” by Jack Savoretti, thought we’d better do this one has it had reached No 1 in the Linedancer Magazine charts and had been taught at a few other local classes. Again a great response from the class. Recapped last week’s dance “BACK IN TIME” (Rachael McEnaney & Guyton Mundy), fabulous dance in my opinion but quite a few of our class gave up on it last week because of the length of the teach, very disappointing really as there is nothing particularly hard about it, but the ones who are doing it are really enjoying it. Other dances recapped included “DANCE AGAIN” (Ria Vos) & “HEART BEATS LOUDER” (Maggie G), both very popular.
