June 6th

Great night this week at Victoria Hall, after a meeting with the management the floor was much better, a good turn out and to top it all a cracking dance that got an excellent response from the class. This week it was Niel Poulsen’s “ACT LIKE A MAN” choreographed to a fun track “You Gotta Not” by Little Mix. It took our eye when we saw it danced by a group of dancers at a Johnny Two Step weekend in Scarborough earlier in the year and we finally got round to teaching it, and I’m glad we did. Recapped “HOLD A CANDLE” (Robbie & Karl-Harry) and “VANOTEK  CHA” (Gary O’Reilly), both big hits with the class, did quick walls of “CAPITAL LETTERS” (Maggie G) & “BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN” (Tina, Kim & Pat) another couple of class favourites and another run through of my own current favourite “FOLLOW MY FOOTPRINTS (Gary O’Reilly).

Saturday June 16th, is the date of our next Social at Shelf Village Hall, Halifax Road, Shelf, Nr Halifax HX37NT. There’ll be non stop dancing to your requests from 8.00 pm – 11.00 pm and admission includes a wonderful home made buffet supper. Everybody welcome, please note, no bar BYOD.
