SEPTEMBER 2019
September 11th
END OF AN ERA
An emotional and sad night at Best of
Friends Line Dance Class, Victoria Hall last night. Just one month short of our
20th anniversary we have decided to call it a day. Several reasons have led to
this decision which include a drop in numbers (mainly due to bad backs, new
knees/hips etc, the ageing process and illness in general), recent problems with
the floor and new parking restrictions. Obviously this decision has not been
taken lightly as it is something we
both enjoy doing and made so many friends along the way, some who have been with
us from Day 1, 13th October 1999. We played the dance we taught on that day
“Pretend” and had almost everyone on the floor. A very big thank you to everyone
who has supported us over the years, it has been very much appreciated. We are
certainly not giving up Line Dancing as it is very much a part of our social
life and we are lucky to have dance friends all over the world. We will also be
continuing with our monthly Socials at Shelf Village Hall and hopefully will see
some of you there.
